アップサイクルされた着物は、再び人との出会い、新たな「ファッション」として息を吹き返します。

その柄や意匠には、持ち主の人生の幸せを願う思いが込められており、着物はまるで人間のように、寄り添い、願い、必要とされることを望んでいるかのようです。

私たちは、そんな着物たちが再び人と出会い、愛され、もう一度輝く瞬間を助けたいと考えています。

Fashion is completed only when a garment connects with its wearer.

Kimono worn on special occasions often continue their journey even after their original role has ended—
passed down as family heirlooms, and sometimes reborn as garments such as sweatshirts.
In this quiet cycle, we find a form of beauty in which both people and clothing stand at the center.

Upcycled kimono encounter new lives and are revived once again as fashion.

Within their patterns and designs are wishes for the happiness of their former owners.
Like people, these garments seem to stay close, to carry prayers, and to hope to be needed once more.

We hope to help these kimono meet new hands, be loved again, and shine for another moment.

デザイナー紹介

着物転生デザイナー／安楽きわ

2003年より着物の魅力と可能性を魅せられた洋服にアップサイクルした服を制作。

着物文化の再評価や復活を促進し、現代のファッションシーンにおいて着物を取り入れてデザインやアプローチを行っている。

このようなユニークな手法が評価され、女優、歌手、フレアバーテンディング、フラメンコなどのアーティストのステージ衣装を順番に服飾デザイナーになる。

2013年着物文化を発信する活動「桃花節プロジェクト」を立ち上げて代表を務め、現在11回公演を終了している。

Since 2003, she has been captivated by the beauty and untapped potential of kimono, creating upcycled garments that transform traditional kimono into contemporary fashion pieces.Through her work, she seeks to re-evaluate and revive kimono culture, introducing innovative designs and approaches that integrate kimono aesthetics into the modern fashion scene.A devoted kimono researcher, her distinctive and original methods have gained wide recognition, leading her to become a fashion designer responsible for stage costumes for a diverse range of artists, including actresses, singers, flair bartenders, and flamenco performers.In 2013, she founded the Tōka-setsu Project, an initiative dedicated to sharing and promoting kimono culture, and assumed the role of representative. To date, the project has successfully completed eleven public performances.
